Breakfast at “Tiffianey’s” Bridal Shower<3

A few weekends ago, I got to see a few close gfs for our girl Tiffianey’s bridal shower weekend! :) We used to all live in the same town during college years, but scattered around the states as we found jobs and joined the real world! While we make an effort to see each other when we can (ANNUAL VACATIONS WOO!) it’s few and far between, so I cherish the times I get to have them nearby! It was a weekend full of girl gabbin, junk food eatin’, wedding craftin’ fun and I wouldn’t have wanted to do anything else that weekend!

Tiffianey’s sister Tonya went all out for the shower and the lil’ details of that day were so pretty and cute!!

“Tiffianey” box cupcakes!

That’s my friend Tiffianey’s face on Audrey Hepburn’s classic photo! :P

Gifts! (Don’t mind that one funky lookin’ bag! :P )

Me and the Bride to Be!

Tiff & Gene’s wedding weekend is coming up on this year Memorial Day weekend! Mr.Dubs and I are thrilled to be able to participate in the festivities!

As for me — I’ll be off on a road trip to Chicago this weekend to spend some QT with a few of my other gfs/bridesmaids that I haven’t been able to see in SO long! :) Be back with another photo update next week. Have a great weekend y’all!

Technology Investment

Mr.Dubs and I made two big purchases a couple of weekends ago. (I caved) And he finally got his iPad3 and I got the Canon Rebel t3i DSLR camera :)

I think the biggest reason I “ok”-ed such a huge, extravagant purpose is that it’s an investment into our TTC journey! I want to capture life’s little moments and this will give me time to get practice and hone my skills for personal DSLR photos. Mr.Dubs and the furbabies will be sick of me and my camera in about a month, or less!

As far as the iPad, I use it for reading, playing silly games like Draw Something & Family Feud. Over the weekend, I caught up on my ABC and NBC dramas, it’s definitely a perk having one around; but not necessarily a necessity!

I’m definitely becoming more conservative about the technology-enabled life that Mr.Dubs and I live to keep up with the rest of the world. I don’t think we’re too crazy; we don’t stand in lines for the latest and greatest offer. But, we do both own cell phones, laptops, iTouches, an iPad, a desktop (WHAT PEOPLE  USE THOSE?!), etc.

I’m a social media (facebook, twitter, tumblr) whore. I text with my family in Korea. I google hangout with my cousins here in the states. I blog. I gchat.

While I love the efficiencies and innovations that technology has brought into my life, I also have this growing fear of how it will impact our (hopefully) future children.

I want them to experience the joys that I grew up as a child (in a not-so-tech crazed world). I guess we will have to wait and see.

Though, Mr.Dubs and I have this tenative rule that if/when in the long away future we give our kids cell phones/etc. all technology-related gadgets will be left in the den/office (for we see no need for them to keep it in their bedrooms).

I think it’s a good starting point for us :) , though its still eons away for us to raise teenagers.

Springtime!

The weather in Michigan has been amazing! I’ve been busy running around to a bridal shower in BFE MI, hosting my dad’s 60th bday dinner, and just catching up on life and enjoying the outdoors with Mr.Dubs and the furbabies.

I’ve also been dedicated to my new ‘hostess’ duties over at HelloBee, my resource for all things TTC/BABY!

Regardless, I have a few blog posts lined up, so stay tuned!

Have a great wknd!!
