We bought this “humble” abode back in 2009. It was a buyer’s market in MI. (Still is). And we had to jump at it (you know with the hot tub and walk-in dressing room; NECESSITIES!) We searched all summer long. I was antsy about an e-ring, because I didn’t want to tell my conservative parents that I was buying a house with a “boyfriend.” In my brain, “fiance” sounded way more sophisticated and justified. 
The night of our closing on this house is the night, Mr.Dubs proposed. All caught on video, my shocked reaction of “OH MY GOD BABE ARE YOU SERIOUS?!” (10x); even though we’d talked about it all summer long.
We went from being bf/gf, to engaged, to being married in this house. Now, we’re about to bring home our biggest bundle of joy. <3 I can’t wait for the new memories that we’ll create in this house.
