Sorry for the bad quality, it’s a camera phone picture of our 3D/4D ultrasound. I’m not a HUGE fan of sharing ultrasound pics, but when I saw this prompt – this is obviously what popped up in my mind (and heart!). Our baby boy is due to arrive in just about six weeks. I can’t quite put my finger on the reality of it all, but at the same time– every time I feel a jab here or kick there (usually in my right rib cage), my heart swells with this overwhelming feeling of happiness, gratefulness, and love<3.
Funny story for ya – Mr.Dubs and I elected to do this 3D/4D ultrasound at 29 weeks and paid for it out of ourselves. He was super excited for the 45 minute session, only to be let down that our baby boy was sitting so low in my uterus that it took almost 20 minutes to get even a slightly good view of his face. Of course, the entire time we’re waiting – Mr.Dubs was sitting on couch next to me, with his hand tucked under his chin; reluctantly waiting for something “cool” to happen. And what do ya know – when the u/s tech finally pulls a good shot; she describes his eyes, nose, lips, and then points to his hand; curled and tucked right under his chin “just like his daddy” was sitting at that moment! 
Our lil boy def has mommy’s nose, daddy’s lips, and both of our newborn puffy marshmallow cheeks! We can’t wait to find out what he looks like outside of my womb!
