How We Met
Mr.DJW and I met at my first “real-life” job as summer was coming to an end in 2006. Although we didn’t start officially “dating” until 6 months later, we can’t help but believe fate brought us together. We both grew up and lived in the same hometown all of our lives, but didn’t meet one another until we were working in a town an hour or so away.
My consideration for people is what sparked his interest. His motivation and dedication to work is what sparked mine.
We were lucky enough to spend our dating years traveling, spending time with our families/friends, and just really getting to know each other. Standing from where I am today and looking back on these years together, I can honestly and wholeheartedly say that I am 100% a better woman for having had his love and presence in my life.
As with any real relationship, we’ve had our share of bumps… but, as cliche as it is, there isn’t anyone else in the world that we’d want to take this journey with except one another.
Through God’s grace and the support of our family and friends, here we are, five years later, having surpassed our year of newlywedded-ness!, and beginning the next chapter of our lives: BABIES!
